Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of RightRole ("RightRole", "we", "us"), a commercial software-as-a-service platform. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
RightRole helps job seekers manage strategic job pursuits. The service provides role-fit analysis, resume tailoring suggestions, AI-assisted cover letters and referral messages, pursuit tracking, and tools for coordinating with referral champions.
2. Accounts
You must provide accurate information when creating an account and are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use RightRole.
3. Acceptable Use
- Do not upload content you do not have the right to use.
- Do not use RightRole to harass, defame, or impersonate others, including champions, recruiters, or hiring managers.
- Do not attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, overload, or disrupt the service or its underlying infrastructure.
- Do not use the service to generate or distribute fraudulent, misleading, or unlawful content.
4. AI-Generated Outputs
RightRole uses AI providers to generate scores, suggestions, cover letters, referral messages, and other artifacts. AI outputs can be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, or outdated. They are provided "as is" and are not professional career, legal, or hiring advice.
You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and deciding whether to send any resume, cover letter, referral message, outreach, or other artifact generated with RightRole. You are responsible for the accuracy and appropriateness of anything you send to third parties.
5. No Guarantee of Outcomes
RightRole does not guarantee job interviews, referrals, offers, employment, salary outcomes, or any other career result. The service is a tool; outcomes depend on factors outside our control.
6. Plans and Billing
RightRole may offer paid plans and subscriptions in the future. When paid features become available, pricing, billing cycles, refunds, and cancellation terms will be presented at the point of purchase and incorporated into these Terms.
7. Your Content
You retain ownership of the content you upload (resumes, job descriptions, notes, champion details, generated artifacts you save). You grant RightRole a limited license to process this content solely to operate, secure, and improve the service for you, including by sending relevant portions to AI providers to generate outputs you request.
8. Termination
You may stop using RightRole at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create risk for other users, or use the service in a way that disrupts our infrastructure. We may also discontinue the service with reasonable notice.
9. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, RightRole and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the service. Our aggregate liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) USD $100.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, excluding its conflicts-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the service or by email. Continued use of RightRole after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
